HIGHLIGHTS
Dating to the 16th century and expanded upon over centuries, Masseria Donnagnora has a rich architectural past that is evident wherever you turn: symmetric medieval windows, southern italian baroque arches, vaulted ceilings, worn staircases, high stone walls, religious niches, weathered limestone flooring and a mix of military and agricultural elements all feature in the complex story of the Masseria’s past.
Present Day
The Masseria has been fully restored and curated with antiques and modern furnishings. There are five unique bedrooms with their own distinct character, each equipped with ensuite bathrooms.
Social spaces are designed to accommodate large families and groups with a large modern kitchen, outdoor and indoor dining areas, terraces and a spacious common area, perfect for reading and relaxing. Guests enjoy both a spa with sauna and jacuzzi as well as an outdoor pool.
The Garden
Masseria Donnagnora sits secluded amongst a terraced garden, a real retreat for those seeking to relax, reflect and refresh.
There is a gentle harmony in the layout: stone pathways run alongside large rectangular flowerbeds, occasionally transforming into steps, leading to private and social areas. The garden has a wide variety of low-lying aromatic shrubs, herbs and flowering plants that accompany the fruit and nut trees that have been here for centuries. The high stone walls that surround the gardens offer a sense of privacy and seclusion.
The Pool
The pool has been designed for
reflection and relaxation.
It is positioned in the center of the private walled gardens,
just steps from the main building and is surrounded by welcoming areas to relax and lounge,
in the sun or shade.
